The Friends of St John’s, North Bovey, is a registered charity established in 2006. A small committee works in conjunction with the Parochial Church Council (PCC) to identify and help fund work necessary for the repair, maintenance and preservation of St John’s Church, North Bovey, and its curtilage, which dates back to the 11th century.
The Friends run several fund-raising events during the year, all of which are great fun and well supported. It also aims to raise awareness of the importance of this historic building in our community; at the heart of our village events during festivals, Remembrance Day, North Bovey Fair or national celebrations, whilst providing a peaceful, contemplative place for all who seek quiet reflection.
